We are looking for an HR Operations Specialist (Payroll) to support and scale our global payroll and HR operations.

This role is focused on payroll inputs, coordination with providers, and operational support of related HR processes, including time tracking and exposure to compensation and benefits.

This position does not involve full payroll calculations, but requires a strong understanding of payroll processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-growing, multi-country environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

Payroll

  • Collect, validate, and consolidate payroll inputs including worked days/hours, bonuses, commissions, per diems, deductions, and other variable payments.

  • Ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date in HRIS and supporting systems prior to payroll close.

  • Coordinate with external payroll providers across multiple countries and contract types.

  • Review payroll outputs to identify discrepancies and data issues.

  • Upload payroll-related data and documentation into HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Support employees with payroll-related questions in a clear and professional manner.

Time Management

  • Assist in the setup and eventual implementation of a time tracking and attendance system.

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing by reviewing and validating all recorded time off (PTO) entries and approvals, focusing on overall attendance control and compliance with time off policies (e.g., preventing overspending PTO).

  • Proactively follow up with employees and managers to resolve any discrepancies, missing data, or late submissions in time off records and approval processes.

  • Analyze attendance and time off processes to identify and propose practical solutions for recurring issues and inefficiencies.

Compensation & Benefits (Exposure & Support)

  • Support compensation and benefits administration processes.

  • Assist with benefits-related data handling such as enrollments, changes, and terminations.

  • Support employees with compensation and benefits-related questions.

  • Participate in market research and benchmarking activities for compensation and benefits.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 2–3+ years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, or a similar role.

  • Experience working with multi-country payroll, external payroll providers, and different contract types.

  • Comfortable working with HRIS, payroll systems, and operational workflows.

  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a high-responsibility environment.

  • High level of accuracy, ownership, and attention to detail.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll operations.

  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (formulas, reconciliations, data checks).

  • Ability to quickly understand new topics and translate them into operational processes.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex topics clearly to employees.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
