Operations Lead (Payments & Banking)
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Operations Lead with a strong focus on payments and banking to take ownership of operational processes across our B2B fintech and crypto infrastructure.
This role is centered around building and managing payment infrastructure, supporting B2B payment flows, and ensuring smooth operations across exchange and wallet-related services. The role also includes coordination of licensing-related processes and working within regulated environments.
The ideal candidate is operationally strong, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both processes and people, while navigating complex payment setups and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Own and drive day-to-day operations across payment and banking flows, ensuring stable and efficient transaction processing.
Manage banking and PSP infrastructure, including account opening, integrations, and ongoing operational support.
Lead onboarding processes with banks and payment providers, including KYC, due diligence, and documentation.
Oversee B2B payment flows across PSPs and banking infrastructure, including collections, payouts, settlements, internal transfers, liquidity movements, and reconciliations.
Coordinate integrations with banks, PSPs, and infrastructure providers in collaboration with tech and product teams.
Lead and manage operational projects, including new provider integrations, product launches, and process improvements.
Monitor payment performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve operational efficiency.
Work closely with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting requirements.
Support and coordinate licensing-related processes, including operational readiness, documentation, and ongoing obligations.
Maintain operational relationships with banking partners and PSPs (from an execution and process perspective).
Manage internal processes and coordinate across operations, finance, compliance, and tech teams.
Handle escalations, investigate operational issues, and ensure timely resolution.
Maintain internal procedures, documentation, and reporting.
Requirements
4–6+ years of experience in payments, banking, fintech, or crypto operations.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Experience working in regulated environments and understanding of licensing frameworks.
Solid understanding of payment lifecycles, transaction monitoring, and reconciliations.
Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering operational projects end-to-end.
Ability to manage both operational processes and people.
Hands-on mindset: comfortable solving issues directly.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams simultaneously.
Experience working cross-functionally with Compliance, Finance, Product, and Tech teams.
Fluent English.
Nice to Have
Experience with crypto payments, exchange, or custody infrastructure.
Experience working with multiple jurisdictions and international payment providers.
Background in EMI, payment institution, or licensed fintech environment.
Experience supporting licensing processes or regulatory interactions.
Familiarity with AI tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and workflows.
