Middle+ Frontend Engineer

*instinctools is looking for a Middle+/Senior Frontend Engineer for one of our clients.
The project: It is a global mobility and urban services platform that allows users to book rides or other services and negotiate the fare directly with the service provider. It offers a variety of services including ride-hailing, intercity travel, delivery, and task assistance, operating in over 700 cities across 47 countries and is the second most downloaded mobility app in the world.
Tasks:
Lead user experience improvements in collaboration with design teams, translating complex workflows into intuitive and efficient interfaces;
Drive frontend architecture evolution, including framework migrations and the creation of reusable UI systems;
Enhancement and improvement of system resilience, performance, and stability;
Build and maintain user interfaces for managing complex operational and configuration workflows;
Design and implement modular, scalable, and maintainable frontend components and libraries;
Ensure high-quality performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across different browsers and devices;
Integrate frontend applications with backend services and handle data exchange securely and efficiently;
Apply best practices in frontend security to safeguard applications and user data;
Improve and support build, testing, and deployment processes for frontend applications;
Monitor and optimize frontend performance using metrics and analytical tools;
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive, reliable, and end-to-end product features.
Our expectations of the ideal candidate:
Need-to-Have skills:
5 years of experience;
Deep knowledge of React (Hooks, Context, Suspense) and experience with state management tools (React Query, Zustand, Redux);
Strong TypeScript proficiency, including advanced typing patterns and generics;
Experience designing and maintaining large-scale frontend architectures, including modular or microfrontend patterns;
Proficiency with modern frontend tooling: Vite/Webpack, ESLint/Prettier, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress;
Strong understanding of web performance optimization (code splitting, lazy loading, caching) and web security fundamentals (CSP, OAuth2, OIDC);
Awareness of accessibility standards (a11y) and solid understanding of UX best practices;
Practical experience with frontend CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins);
Experience using Docker for local development and optimized builds;
Ability to ensure reliable delivery through proper testing (unit + integration), versioning, and deployment workflows.
Nice-to-have skills:
Basic understanding of how backend services work (requests, routing, business logic, databases);
Understanding of backend codebases (e.g., Node.js, Go, Python) for effective collaboration and debugging;
Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, or gRPC API design principles;
Understanding how authentication and authorization work (JWT, OAuth2, sessions);
Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to run simple queries for debugging or validation;
Understanding of caching concepts (Redis, in-memory caching, TTL);
Familiarity with message queues or pub/sub systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) at a conceptual level;
Ability to assist with debugging integration issues between frontend and backend;
Understanding of common backend performance considerations (rate limits, pagination, batching);
Awareness of backend observability basics (logs, metrics, traces);
Intermediate English (written and spoken).
