Head of Treasury

Plata S.A., part of a rapidly growing international fintech group, is seeking a Head of Treasury & ALM to build and lead core Treasury and ALM capabilities in an evolving operating model.

The role covers liquidity management, ALM cash-flow modeling, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and balance-sheet steering, combining strategic ownership with a hands-on approach where needed. The successful candidate will contribute to building models, data foundations, and processes, while supporting the development of scalable Treasury and ALM frameworks.

The role works closely with product teams across Debit Cards, deposits, and Credit Cards, linking customer behavior and product economics to balance-sheet structure, liquidity management, capital implications, and pricing decisions.

Challenges That Await You

• Build Treasury and ALM frameworks from the ground up in a fast-growing fintech environment

• Design and implement liquidity cash-flow models and ALM cash-flow projections across DC, deposits, and CC products

• Establish robust liquidity management, including forecasting, internal limits, and stress-testing scenarios

• Design and roll out an end-to-end Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework, including transfer curves, liquidity and capital charges, and integration into product pricing and profitability

• Balance profitability, liquidity, and interest rate risk in the absence of fully mature systems during the initial phase

• Create ALCO materials, metrics, and decision frameworks that translate model outputs into concrete balance-sheet actions

• Build reliable data foundations using Excel and SQL, and support the selection or future implementation of ALM systems or data infrastructure

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 7+ years of experience in Treasury, ALM, or Market Risk roles within regulated banks or fintechs

• Hands-on experience with Debit Cards, deposits, and Credit Cards, including understanding of customer behavior and unit economics

• Proven, practical experience building liquidity and ALM cash-flow models and running stress scenarios

• End-to-end experience designing and implementing Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), from methodology to operational rollout

• Solid understanding of capital and solvency implications of ALM and product decisions

• Advanced Excel and SQL skills

• Strong English proficiency

 Would be a plus 

• Prior experience building Treasury or ALM functions from scratch

• Exposure to excess liquidity investment frameworks within regulated institutions

• Experience working in fast-growing fintech or early-stage financial institutions

• Spanish language skills
