Chief Technology Officer

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will own and scale the company’s Product, Platform, Data, and AI technology stack, with end-to-end accountability for all customer-facing product engineering, cross-product platforms, product infrastructure, and ML/AI systems. The role ensures that every digital product and shared capability is production-grade, scalable, and aligned with product strategy, while building a unified, modern technology foundation that supports growth, reliability, and long-term differentiation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the company-wide technology, data, and AI strategy aligned with product growth, monetization, and scale.

• Lead all customer-facing product engineering and shared platform development, ensuring predictable delivery, quality, and reliability.

• Own cross-product architecture and core platforms including identity, billing, shared services, APIs, and experimentation frameworks.

• Establish modern testing, release, and observability standards, moving from ad hoc practices to production-grade quality and reliability.

• Drive performance optimization, scalability, and experimentation across web, mobile, backend, and data platforms.

• Lead the modernization of legacy systems through phased, low-risk architectural evolution.

• Own data platforms and analytics, ensuring real-time pipelines, experimentation, personalization, and decision-support systems operate at production quality.

• Own ML and AI from research through production, including roadmap, MLOps, governance, monitoring, and measurable business impact.

• Build and lead a high-performing, globally distributed engineering, data, and platform organization with strong ownership, documentation, and platform mindset.

• Ensure tight alignment between Product, Growth, Analytics, and Engineering on roadmap, priorities, and platform leverage.

• Actively participate in the executive team, technical diligence for acquisitions, and cross-company strategic initiatives, translating business strategy into long-term technology direction.

Required experience

• Proven experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or equivalent senior technology leader in a multi-product, platform-based organization.

• Strong background in modern web and backend stacks, with hands-on understanding of large-scale production systems.

• Deep experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, reliability engineering, and modern deployment models.

• Hands-on understanding of data platforms and analytics stacks, including real-time pipelines, BI, experimentation, and ML productionization.

• Reasonable understanding of React, PHP, and MySQL

• Experience with C++ and systems programming leadership

• Experience with Real-time, audio, graphics, or high-performance application architecture

• Experience running organizations that own native mobile engines and standalone desktop applications

• Demonstrated success building shared platforms and reusable services across multiple products.

• Experience scaling and modernizing long-lived systems through phased transformation without disrupting the business.

• Track record of leading globally distributed engineering and data teams with high delivery and quality standards.

• Strong collaboration with executive leadership and product organizations, translating strategy into technical roadmaps and execution.

• Solid understanding of the full product lifecycle from early build to global scale. Fluent English.

• Experience with Python and ML, or performance-critical systems.

• Musical background, amateur or professional, and familiarity with music creation or learning workflows.

• Russian language proficiency.
