VFX Artist

We’re looking for a VFX Artist to define and build the visual effects language of Farcana Shooter.
You’ll own the full VFX pipeline — from concept to implementation — working closely with the Art Director to create impactful, readable, and performant effects for a competitive multiplayer shooter.
This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, creative freedom, and direct influence on the visual quality of the game.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and implement gameplay VFX in UE5.

• Develop weapon, ability, environment, hit, and UI effects.

• Optimize VFX performance for real-time gameplay.

• Collaborate with Game Design to improve combat readability.

• Maintain reusable VFX systems and libraries.

• Work with Technical Art and Animation teams on integration.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years as a VFX Artist in games.

• Strong Niagara experience in UE5.

• Portfolio featuring shooter VFX work.

• Understanding of real-time optimization.

• Experience with shaders and Material Editor.

• Basic Blueprint knowledge.

• Understanding of competitive shooter gameplay readability.

Nice to have

• Houdini experience.

• Lumen / Nanite optimization experience.
