System Analyst (CBS, Deposits)
We're looking for a System Analyst to join our Core Banking System team and take ownership of our deposit products — checking accounts, savings accounts, and time deposits.
You'll work in a hybrid-delivery setup where part of the build happens in-house with our internal engineering team and part with an external CBS vendor.
That makes you the key link between business stakeholders, our internal engineers, and the vendor — translating needs into clear, actionable specifications for both. If you know deposit mechanics inside out and enjoy turning messy requirements into precise documentation, we'd like to meet!
Key responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements for deposit products (checking, savings, time deposits) and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications
Write and maintain requirement documents, user stories, and task descriptions for both the internal development team and the external CBS vendor
Coordinate with the CBS vendor: define scope, manage change requests, review vendor solutions and assess their impact on existing processes
Facilitate requirements workshops and grooming sessions with business owners, product managers, and technical stakeholders
Perform gap analysis of existing CBS functionality against business needs and propose solutions within or around platform constraints
Participate in system integration design - define data flows and API contracts between the CBS and surrounding systems
Validate vendor deliverables: review functional designs, participate in UAT, track defect resolution
Maintain system documentation: functional descriptions, business process flows, data dictionaries, and decision tables
Support the internal QA team with test scenario preparation and act as an escalation point during testing phases
Monitor and assess the impact of regulatory changes on deposit product logic, and initiate change requests where necessary
Requirements:
3+ years as a System or Business Analyst in banking or financial services
Hands-on experience with core banking systems (any major CBS platform)
Deep knowledge of deposit product mechanics: checking, savings, term/time deposits
Proven experience writing requirements for external vendors and controlling delivery
Strong documentation skills: use cases, BRD/FSD, BPMN, data flow diagrams
Experience with REST API analysis and integration design
English B2+ — daily use with the vendor and international teams
Nice to have:
Experience with specific CBS platforms
Familiarity with regulatory requirements for deposits
SQL proficiency for data validation and analysis
CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent certification
Experience in Agile / SAFe delivery environments
