Manual QA Engineer
The Role As a Manual QA Engineer you become the first dedicated QA specialist on our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, usability, and overall quality of our digital products. You will be responsible not only for the hands-on testing of our products but will also take the lead in designing, implementing, and standardizing all quality assurance processes within the company. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact the quality of products in a sensitive and important field and to build a QA department your way.
Responsibilities:
Manual Testing of Web Products:
Perform comprehensive functional, regression, exploratory, and UI/UX testing on our products
Conduct thorough cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure a consistent user experience.
Validate responsive design and adaptive layouts across a variety of devices and screen sizes.
Test APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger to ensure seamless client-server communication.
Building QA Processes from Scratch:
Develop and implement a cohesive testing strategy for new and existing projects.
Formalize the bug life cycle and define quality metrics.
Create and maintain clear test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists, test reports).
Select and configure the best tools for testing and bug tracking.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers throughout the entire product lifecycle—from requirements analysis to release.
Clearly and accurately document defects in our bug-tracking system
Participate in sprint planning and provide estimates for testing activities.
Experience: What You Bring
5+ years of experience in manual testing, with a strong focus on web applications.
Proven experience in building or significantly improving QA processes within a team or company. You know how to establish testing where it didn’t exist before.
Deep understanding of testing theory and methodologies (testing types, test design techniques).
Excellent skills in writing clear and structured test documentation.
Proficiency with browser developer tools (DevTools) for debugging, network analysis, and UI inspection.
Experience with API testing
A proactive, independent, and responsible mindset.
You are ready to take ownership of product quality.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Empathy and meticulous attention to detail. You understand that behind every bug in our product is a user who relies on our service to be stable and secure.
