Middle QA Automation Engineer (Java)

Paybis is a global crypto/fiat platform operating since 2014, serving customers across 180+ countries. We build and scale complex fintech products focused on payments, crypto transactions, and seamless customer experience.

We are looking for a strong QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and help us improve automation quality, release confidence, and overall platform stability.

This is a product-focused role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving automation frameworks, and working closely with developers in a fast-moving environment.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain UI and API automated tests using Java + Selenide

• Improve automation coverage for critical product flows

• Participate in regression and smoke testing strategy

• Support and improve CI/CD test integration

• Investigate flaky tests and unstable scenarios

• Work closely with developers and QA engineers throughout the SDLC

• Contribute to framework improvements and testing best practices

• Help improve release quality and reduce production risks

What We Expect

Must-Have

• 3–5 years of experience in QA Automation

• Strong Java-based automation experience

• Manual testing experience

• Experience with Selenide / Selenium

• JUnit or TestNG

• REST API testing experience

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with Git and Jira workflows

• Understanding of SDLC & STLC

• Experience with both UI and API automation

• Upper-Intermediate+ English level

• Strong analytical thinking and ownership mindset

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or crypto products

• Experience with Appium/mobile automation

• Grafana or cloud log analysis experience

• Performance or contract testing experience

• Understanding of payment lifecycle and integrations

• ISTQB or similar certification

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

• Complete onboarding into the product and engineering processes

• Participate in active knowledge transfer with the team and mentor

• Learn the existing automation framework and testing practices

First 90 Days

• Deliver at least 5 automated test cases for real product scenarios

• Confidently work within the existing automation framework

• Become an active contributor to automation coverage improvements



First 6 Months

• Fully own assigned automation areas

• Consistently contribute to quality and framework improvements

• Become a reliable contributor within the QA and engineering teams
