Junior BI Analyst

Responsibilities

1. Retrieve data from various sources including databases and spreadsheets; organize and format raw data into structured formats.
2. Create auto-updating data marts for BI dashboards.
3. Support and troubleshoot predefined data source templates used for visualization purposes.
4. Take part in the development and maintenance of self-service analytics tools using BI platforms such as ClicData and Looker Studio.
5. Work with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs, troubleshoot, and deliver timely solutions.
6. Support data validation and quality assurance efforts to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
7. Document reporting processes to promote transparency and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

1. Advanced understanding of spreadsheets (Excel and/or Google Sheets) and familiarity with presentation and BI tools.
2. Advanced knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain data-driven insights to non-technical audiences.
5. Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
6. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Bonus Points (preferred but not required):

1. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google BigQuery).
2. Experience with BI platforms (ClicData, Looker Studio).
3. Hands-on experience with Python and Pandas
4. Familiarity with ELT/ETL concepts and basic data pipeline workflows.
5. Prior experience in a data-driven business environment.
6. Previous internship or hands-on experience in a business analytics or BI role.
