Full-Stack Product Engineer

We are looking for a Full-Stack Product Engineer — someone who is equally comfortable thinking about product strategy and writing production code to join our Mountly app team.

We are not looking for a pure developer, nor a pure product manager. We are looking for someone who can understand a business problem, design a solution, build it, and deliver it to users. This role is approximately 50% Product and 50% Engineering.

You will become the primary technical owner dedicated to Mountly, working closely with the business and taking end-to-end responsibility for product delivery. This is not a role within a large development team. We are looking for someone comfortable owning both product and technical decisions, with support available for onboarding, testing, and business input when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Product

• Understand business and customer needs

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Prioritize features and decide what should be built now versus later

• Communicate with stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate quickly

• Take ownership of features from idea to production

Engineering

• Implement solutions using modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot

• Review and validate AI-generated code

• Understand what the AI produced and assess whether it is correct, maintainable, and scalable

• Deploy backend services and release mobile applications

• Take ownership of technical decisions and product implementation

• Work across frontend, backend, mobile applications, and integrations

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture

• Understanding of the full request lifecycle, from a user action in the UI to the database and back

• Experience with REST APIs, authentication and authorization, and relational databases

• Experience with Docker, Git, and basic CI/CD concepts

• Ability to read, understand, and work with unfamiliar codebases and technologies

• Solid technical foundation and ability to write code independently without relying entirely on AI

• Hands-on experience with AI development tools as part of daily workflows

• High level of autonomy and ownership

• Excellent communication skills in English
