Full-Stack Developer (Browser Extension)

Role

Build the MVP of a security-focused browser extension and its supporting backend - from architecture to store release. Single-owner role: you ship the extension end-to-end via AI-assisted dev.

What you will do

• Develop a Chrome(other) extension on Manifest V3 (service workers, content scripts, popup/options UI).
• Build and maintain the backend services powering the extension (API, threat-intelligence integrations, webhooks).
• Integrate third-party security APIs (e.g. Google Safe Browsing, breach-data sources).
• Own the full release cycle: build pipeline, Chrome Web Store submission and review process.
• Implement client-side caching, secure storage, and a privacy-respecting data flow.
• Write tests (unit + E2E) and maintain code quality.

What we are looking for

• 3+ years full-stack development, production experience.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript.
• Hands-on browser extension development, Manifest V3.
• Backend: Node.js (Fastify/Express), ORM (Prisma or Drizzle), SQL, Supabase, REST APIs, third-party API integration, webhooks.
• UI: Nuxt/Vue.
• Solid understanding of web security fundamentals (CSP, CORS, XSS, secure storage).
• Git, CI/CD, modern build tooling, experience with monorepo.
• AI agents driven workflow.

Nice to Have

• Cross-browser extension delivery (Firefox, Edge).
• Background in security, anti-phishing, or privacy products.
• Familiarity with threat-intelligence feeds or DNS-level filtering.
• Chrome Web Store publishing experience.
• Experience with Stripe, Twilio (A2P), AWS SES, Web Risk, HIBP integration.
