Data Engineer (Freelancer)

🚀 Data Engineer (m/f/d) – Data Vault & Snowflake

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer (m/f/d) for a long-term engagement focused on Data Vault, Snowflake, and modern data stack technologies.

• Location: Fully remote

• Project Language: English B2+

• Candidate Location: Europe

🔎 Role Responsibilities

• Independent setup and restructuring of data models and structures (Data Vault) in the Data Warehouse

• Logical and technical modeling of Raw Vault, Business Vault, and application layer / data products

• Development of complex business transformations using dbt and Snowflake SQL

• Orchestration of dbt with Airflow (creating new DAGs and configuring existing ones)

• Connecting source systems to Snowflake using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Fivetran, or similar tools

• Participation in Scrum ceremonies (Daily, Sprint Review, Retrospective)

• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders regarding assigned work packages

✅ Must-Have Skills

• Strong data modeling skills, ideally with Data Vault 2.0 experience

• Very strong knowledge of SQL and dbt

• Good Python skills

• Experience with CI/CD tools

• Snowflake expertise (mandatory)

• Ideally experience with Azure Data Factory and Airflow

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer

• German language skills are a plus
