Data Engineer

You'll be at the forefront of building our analytical data layer, designing robust pipelines, and shaping how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe leverage data for financial decisions. 

This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on the company’s mission while growing our Data Lakehouse from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize ETL processes, ensuring data health and integrity

• Assemble datasets that meet functional and non-functional requirements, including real-time data gathering

• Implement and support changes to our data models while ensuring scalability and reliability

• Connect new internal and external sources to expand our comprehensive data model

• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and data scientists on cross-functional initiatives

• Proactively investigate and resolve data-related issues, troubleshoot ETL failures, and provide technical support

• Develop and maintain feature and metric stores to support analytical use cases

Who you are

• 3+ years of experience as an ETL Developer, Data Engineer, or Analytics Engineer

• Strong proficiency in SQL (experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, BigQuery is a plus)

• Skilled in Python for automation, orchestration, or data analysis

• Hands-on experience with ETL/orchestration tools (e.g. Apache Airflow, dbt) and stream-processing platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka) is a plus

• Familiar with working alongside data engineers or ML teams

• Proactive and autonomous, comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

• Background in banking or fintech is a plus

• Languages: English (full working proficiency) – must;

• Russian (basic working proficiency) – is a plus
