Appodeal is looking for a CEO for a Gaming business unit to plan, develop, and execute the strategy for scaling our publishing business.

With a strong core team and top management’s ongoing advisors, we’re looking for people who are passionate about building the future of the mobile app ecosystem at a great company.

The ideal candidate will be working with and building out the growth team to have a considerable impact, where everyone is a stakeholder in the company’s success.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute yearly and quarterly strategies;
  2. Organise and maintain the OKRs system for the overall business unit to be able to achieve the revenue targets planned;
  3. Own P&L for the Gaming business unit and be accountable for strategic decisions on business strategy, staffing, resource allocation, organizational structure, and overall performance;
  4. Understand the “big picture” of the business; actively make decisions that balance tradeoffs and keep in mind quality and risk;
  5. Be the vision holder for the business, ensuring alignment across the organization and with external partners;
  6. Create a culture of individual discipline, accountability, and open communication;
  7. Tackle the obstacles. When roadblocks come up, you will be the “go-to” person for removing impediments. Identify and remove any obstacles that block the progress of your team;
  8. Attract, develop, inspire, and lead high performers, creating a culture that motivates and retains the world-class talent required for success;
  9. Look for new opportunities in developing areas of the real gaming/competition games market, using advanced technologies, and resources as well as a deep understanding of the ever-evolving market;
  10. Leading core teams of Product, Monetization, User Acquisition, and ASO.

Requirements:

  1. The successful candidate will have a strong mix of creative, technical, innovative, and managerial experience from the real gaming/competitive games space;
  2. 5+ years experience managing P&Ls; prior leadership experience, including significant exposure to C-suite;
  3. Strong record and accomplishment overseeing and launching casual games;
  4. Adaptable with the ability to collaborate and efficiently lead a mildly distributed team;
  5. Sees the big picture and can articulate it to others while also developing, inspiring, and leading high performers within the group;
  6. Enjoys an interactive and agile work environment and collaborates well with various work styles;
  7. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, the ability to project manage and work effectively under deadlines and in complex business environments.

Nice to have:

  1. Degree in marketing, analytics, or related field;
  2. MBA/Master’s degree in a management, technical or finance field is preferred but not required.
