ATM Security Specialist

We’re launching our own ATM network in Mexico and expanding our security team. We’re looking for an engineer who understands ATM hardware and software, knows how to break and defend them, and can ensure that our machines go live secured and operate at the highest standards.

You’ll work closely with equipment vendors and internal stakeholders. Your work will directly impact the availability and security of our ATM network.

Challenges That Await You

• Performing advanced security testing and validation of ATM platforms and supporting infrastructure, including protection against UI escape, unauthorized access, and device tampering

• Assessing and mitigating risks related to ATM hacking techniques, malware infections, skimming devices, and physical intrusion attempts

• Managing antivirus, endpoint protection, and hardening controls across the ATM, ensuring signatures, policies, and security patches are consistently applied

• Accepting new ATMs and software releases, conducting security configuration reviews, vulnerability checks, and quality assurance before production rollout

• Preparing ATMs for live operation through secure software installation, system lockdown, and oversight of field engineers to ensure compliance with security standards

• ​​Investigating security events, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Proven experience in ATM information and physical security, including protection against UI escape, malware, and unauthorized system access

• Strong understanding of ATM architectures, operating systems, and common attack vectors, with hands-on experience mitigating hacking attempts and device tampering

• Expertise in endpoint protection and antivirus management, ensuring continuous monitoring, timely updates, and effective incident response

• Practical knowledge of vendor acceptance processes, security hardening, and secure deployment of new hardware and software releases

• Experience responding to security incidents, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing preventive controls to strengthen resilience
