Android Developer

Remote except Russia, Belarus! or hybrid (Warsaw is a plus)

We’re looking for a Senior Android Developer to build Peech for Android from the ground up. You’ll use the iOS app as a reference and leverage modern tools and patterns to deliver a fast, delightful experience.

Start part-time - with a path to full-time and equity if we click. You’ll have massive ownership, full autonomy, and the chance to shape Peech’s Android future from day one.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build the native Android app from scratch (Kotlin, Jetpack, Compose)

• Use AI tools (like GPTs, Copilot, Cursor) to speed up development and reduce grunt work

• Collaborate directly with the founders (CEO + CTO) - no PMs or layers

• Mirror and adapt features from our polished iOS app

• Integrate audio playback, offline storage, user onboarding, in-app purchases, and more

• Optional: contribute to backend or shared services (Firebase, Cloud, etc.)

Requirements

• 4+ years building high-quality Android apps in Kotlin

• Deep experience with Jetpack Compose, architecture components, coroutines/Flow

• Built and launched at least one app end-to-end

• Ownership mindset - you care about performance, UX, and code quality

• Comfort using AI tools in your workflow

• Bonus: knowledge of audio streams playback, firebase, or backend systems

• Great communicator - async-friendly and self-directed
