As an Android Developer at GlamAI, you'll play a key role in developing and optimizing our mobile applications, helping to deliver advanced video and AI features to hundreds of thousands of users. You'll work with a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and backend engineers in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced features using Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow.

• Integrate and optimize REST APIs using Retrofit.

• Apply dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Koin to maintain clean and scalable architecture.

• Collaborate with iOS engineers, reading and discussing Swift code to align platform features.

• Work closely with backend, product, design, and analytics teams to deliver top-notch mobile experiences.

• Proactively identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address them.

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • 2+ years of commercial Android development.

  • Experience working in startups or in fast-paced, agile teams.

  • Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and Flow.

  • Confident with Retrofit and REST API integration.

  • Hands-on with Hilt or Koin for dependency injection.

  • Ability to understand and work with iOS (Swift) code at a high level.

• Mindset:

  • Product thinking — you care about solving problems, not just writing code.

  • Initiative and independence — able to navigate uncertainty and take ownership.

• Nice to Have:

  • Experience setting up analytics and visualizing data.

  • A/B testing know-how.

  • Skills in video optimization — loading speed, frame drops, and performance tuning.

  • Experience profiling UI and reducing jank.
