Marketing Specialist (Retention)

We are looking for a Retention Marketing Specialist to own lifecycle communications with a strong focus on email marketing, promo-driven campaigns, and automated trigger flows. This is a hands-on role where you will personally create, format, and build campaigns in Customer.io, SendGrid, Mailchimp, OneSignal, and Firebase — from promo emails and holiday campaigns to activation and reactivation journeys. Your goal is to increase LTV, reduce churn, and strengthen engagement through timely, personalised, high-quality communications.

Responsibilities

  • Create, design, and format email campaigns in Customer.io, SendGrid and Mailchimp, including independent layout building, formatting, QA, and sending.

  • Develop promo and seasonal email campaigns (holidays, deposit bonuses, promotions, tournaments), preparing both content structure and visuals together with the design team.

  • Build and configure automated lifecycle flows: welcome, onboarding, activation, first deposit, reactivation, and win-back journeys.

  • Plan and execute push and in-app campaigns using OneSignal and Firebase.

  • Add and implement localisations inside campaigns independently, while translation tasks are coordinated and requested through the content manager.

  • Configure trigger logic, delays, conditions, and multistep scenarios across automation tools.

  • Run A/B tests (subject lines, templates, CTAs, segmentation variants) and integrate learnings into ongoing optimisation.

  • Ensure template quality, deliverability standards, brand consistency, and correctness of all outgoing communications.

  • Analyse key campaign metrics (open/click rates, conversions, activation, retention) and provide clear, actionable insights.

  • Explore opportunities for personalisation and AI-driven segmentation to increase engagement (nice to have).

  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and promo teams to align messaging, visuals, and launch timelines.

  • Maintain and update existing campaigns and automated flows to ensure accuracy, stability, and relevance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in global email/retention marketing;

  • Proven experience in CFD brokerage, iGaming, betting, or fintech industries;

  • Strong knowledge of customer lifecycle and churn drivers;

  • Hands-on experience with SendGrid, Mailchimp, OneSignal, Firebase (or similar platforms);

  • Ability to independently manage end-to-end campaign execution (planning, building, testing, reporting);

  • Proficiency in A/B testing and data-driven optimisation;

  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actions;

  • Experience managing localisation workflows with contractors/freelancers;

  • Familiarity with personalisation and AI-driven segmentation (a plus, not required);

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment;

  • Nice to have Experience working in Asia and MENA regions.
