UA Manager (Google Ads: Demand Gen / GDN)

Taonga: the Island Farm is an immersive exploration and adventure game set on a colorful tropical archipelago.

What begins as a casual farming experience gradually evolves into a rich, multi-layered adventure. Players discover increasing depth through travel, story-driven quests, strategic battles, engaging mini-games, competitive events, and much more — transforming the game into a captivating midcore adventure with sophisticated mechanics.

We’re looking for a User Acquisition Manager who can bring expertise in Demand Gen and GDN to our media buying efforts and make Google Ads our №1 channel by ad spend. We need someone with their own approaches and methodology, someone the team can learn from, rather than someone who simply executes delegated tasks.

The product is Taonga: The Island Farm, a browser-based game (web, desktop). Our Search campaigns are already performing consistently; the main focus of this role is Demand Gen and GDN.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire Google Ads account, including Search.

• Conduct a Google Ads audit: review previous launches and tests, channel economics, what works and what doesn’t.

• Develop a Google Ads growth strategy.

• Launch and scale Demand Gen and GDN: campaign structure, audiences, bidding strategies, and signals for the algorithms.

• Maintain a hypothesis backlog and testing pipeline (approaches, audiences, bidding, creatives), run tests consistently, document results, and make decisions about the channel.

• Independently analyze performance and build reports and dashboards.

• Develop creative briefs and request iterations of successful ad combinations in collaboration with the creative team.

• Automate routine tasks using Google Ads Scripts, APIs, and AI tools.

Requirements

• Personally managed Google Ads budgets of at least $150K per month: worked hands-on in the ad account rather than managing others who did.

• Launched and scaled profitable Demand Gen and GDN campaigns optimized for conversions or conversion value, rather than reach.

• Experience in user acquisition for web-based products: understanding of web funnels and attribution, with experience in server-side conversion tracking / offline conversion imports, enhanced conversions, Consent Mode, and optimization for delayed conversion value.

• Understanding of acquisition economics: LTV, ROAS, and cohort profitability; ability to make budget decisions based on these metrics.

• Ability to write Google Ads Scripts or work with APIs, use AI to solve tasks independently, and not rely on developers.

• Ability to independently extract data and build reports and dashboards (SQL, BI tools).

• Fluency in Russian or English.

If your primary experience is in Search, Performance Max, or App campaigns (UAC), this role is not the right fit for you.
