Technical Program Manager (Payments & Finance)

  • Remote work is possible, preferred time zones GMT+4 to GMT+10

This role owns the Payments & Finance stream end-to-end, with primary focus on reconciliation and payment execution controls, secure core banking interfaces for back-office operations, and the disputes and chargebacks lifecycle. The goal is to scale safely and reduce operational risk while remaining audit- and regulator-ready

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Payments & Finance stream as a product - scope, priorities, and outcomes, roadmap shaping and prioritization

  • Analyze and re-engineer existing payments operations and processes (payments, clearing, reconciliation, settlements, disputes, chargebacks etc) to improve efficiency and scalability

  • Elicit, structure, and validate business, user, and non-functional requirements - align stakeholder expectations, regulatory needs, and technical feasibility

  • Develop and maintain key artifacts - functional specifications, data mappings, role models, integration descriptions, diagrams where needed, acceptance criteria

  • Support UAT and go-live - demos and training for users, defect triage support, coordination, and continuous improvement based on feedback

  • Define key metrics for critical controls and exceptions

Requirements

  • 5+ years as TPM, Business Analyst, or Systems Analyst in banking or fintech, preferably in payments operations

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment lifecycles and operational controls - reconciliation concepts, partner differences, batch vs near-real-time, exception handling

  • Experience with disputes and chargebacks domain processes

  • Proven ability to design and optimize complex workflows and systems - including process modeling (BPMN) and writing clear BRD or FRD-style documentation

  • Strong understanding of agile delivery and experience working with Jira and Confluence (or equivalents)

  • Proactive mindset - identifies gaps early, proposes options, and drives improvements with strong ownership

  • Strong English communication skills
