We are creating a next-generation football simulator.
The Meta team is responsible for progression, collection, value, and motivation systems — everything that keeps players engaged for dozens and even hundreds of hours. It’s the core of player engagement, economy, and strategic thinking.
Our mission is to reinvent the meta-game in the sports genre — to make it deep, fair, and inspiring.
Responsibilities:
- Design and refine complex meta systems — player progression, in-game economy, reward loops, and event structures — aligned with the game’s F2P model;
- Build robust connections between core gameplay (football matches) and meta layers such as player development, team-building, collections, league progression, and seasonal content;
- Define and evolve a scalable game economy, including multiple currencies, soft/hard balances, sinks/sources, and monetization paths;
- Partner with Product and Analytics to define success metrics, assess system performance, and implement data-driven iterations;
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX, Development, Art, and Marketing to ensure cohesive system delivery and excellent player experience;
- Stay ahead of market trends in F2P, sports, and GaaS to inspire innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
Skills and requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in game design, with 2+ years focused specifically on meta systems and F2P economies in live games;
- Demonstrated success in designing and operating scalable F2P features (e.g. battle pass, gacha mechanics, time-limited events, upgrade loops);
- Strong ability to build and document systems from the ground up, and drive their implementation through cross-discipline alignment;
- Expert in balancing tools (Excel/Sheets), economy modeling, and system mapping;
- Deep understanding of player psychology, behavioral design, and player segmentation;
- English — sufficient for writing documentation.
Will be a plus:
- Familiarity with Live Ops tools and F2P monetization platforms;
- Prototyping skills (e.g., Unity/Unreal or scripting knowledge) to validate ideas quickly;
- Strategic thinking with a strong business/product mindset;
- Personal interest in football, sports, or competitive systems.
