Lead Product Designer

About Us

BotConversa is a communication automation platform for WhatsApp, featuring chatbots, messaging campaigns, CRM funnels, and AI assistants. Our product is used by thousands of companies in Brazil and beyond. We are looking for a Lead Designer to oversee product quality and build out our design team.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in product design, ideally within B2B/SaaS or working on complex interfaces

• Experience managing a design team (at least 2–3 people)

• Strong UI skills: expertise in typography and composition, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to simplify complex concepts

• Experience with the full design lifecycle, including the ability to justify design decisions using data and research

• Experience in establishing or significantly improving design processes

• Experience in building and evolving design systems

• Practical application of AI in your workflow—not just an interest in it, but experience with specific tools and use cases

• Proficiency in Figma (auto layout, variables, components)

• Strong ability to defend design decisions to stakeholders and reach agreements

• English proficiency at a B1+ level or higher

What you will be doing:

• Lead a team of product designers: hire, assign tasks, provide feedback, and support professional growth.

• Establish design processes: from discovery and handoff to development, through to overseeing implementation.

• Manage key features across the full product lifecycle: research, hypothesis generation, prototyping, testing, UI design, and post-launch metric analysis.

• Develop and maintain the design system.

• Set the standard for UI quality and consistency across the entire product.

• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and analytics teams, and contribute to shaping the product roadmap.

• Integrate AI tools into the team’s workflow to accelerate research, solution generation, and prototyping.

Will be a plus

• Experience with conversational UI, bot builders, no-code tools, and CRM products

• Basic understanding of front-end development
