Lead Game Designer
Responsibilities
Developing clear goals and mechanics that fit the creative direction of the game
Creating a unique gaming experience
Development, implementation and balance of gaming systems
Managing a team of game designers
Working closely with departments of programmers, sound engineers, VFX artists and animators to create the right gameplay experience.
Requirements
5+ years in game design for PC/console, with at least 1 shipped title in a senior or lead gameplay design role;
Proven ownership of combat and gameplay systems (weapons, encounters, AIs, abilities, character stats, game modes, level design) from concept to live tuning. Preferably in first person games;
Confident in using engine tools and scripting (Unreal) to prototype, iterate and debug gameplay features hands-on;
Conversational Russian and English
Experience leading other designers: setting vision and quality bars for combat/systems, reviewing work, and aligning cross-discipline teams;
Enjoy building grounded, tense, high-lethality gameplay where positioning, information, and preparation matter more than pure stats.
