Rainbow.ai is seeking a Head of Sales & Business Development with meteorology domain expertise to accelerate B2B growth of weather APIs.
Lead strategic sales development of weather APIs for meteorology domain clients (agrotech, logistics, energy). Key leadership position for a professional with deep meteorology understanding, capable of scaling sales and building partnerships with meteorological organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop sales strategy for weather APIs targeting meteorology markets (EU/US/Asia territories)
Lead sales team: hiring, KPI setting, quarterly/annual revenue targets
Build partnerships with meteorological associations, providers (ECMWF, NOAA), research institutes
Full-cycle API sales: lead generation to C-level negotiations and onboarding
Analyze competitors (NWP/GFS/ICON), meteorology data market trends
Mandatory Requirements
5+ years B2B sales + 2+ years leadership (Head of Sales)
Proven weather data/API sales experience in meteorology domain (agrotech, energy, logistics)
Meteorology knowledge: NWP, ensemble forecasting, statistical models, ECMWF/GFS
Meteorology network: connections with WMO, NOAA, meteorological institutes
Sales experience in EU + US + Asia markets
C1+ English + CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot) + revenue track record
