Head of Finance & Legal Operations

At Nozomi, we work as an end-to-end consulting and execution partner to create digital health products that change patient behavior and improve measurable outcomes. We partner with healthcare organizations globally to design, validate, and scale digital products that impact real-world clinical and behavioral outcomes..

To scale confidently without losing control, we’re looking for a strong Head of Finance & Legal Operations who will build a scalable finance operating system and ensure stability across cash flow, payments, documentation, and contract workflows.

What You’ll Do:

Finance Operations & Cash Discipline

- Own Accounts Receivable (AR): aging reports, collections cadence, follow-ups, escalations

- Improve invoicing accuracy and speed (milestones, acceptance criteria, time-to-invoice)

- Standardize payment terms and reduce financial risk (prepayments, milestones, late-fee clauses)

- Maintain a rolling 8–13 week weekly cash forecast

- Run Accounts Payable (AP): vendor list, payment schedule, batching, prioritization

- Stabilize spending via clear payment cycles and expense predictability

- Audit vendors/subscriptions and drive cost optimization

Reporting & Financial Visibility

- Own key metrics: revenue, gross margin, net margin, P&L by business line, runway

- Establish a strong monthly close rhythm with the accounting team

- Deliver management-ready summaries for leadership

- Support decision-making: pricing hygiene, delivery margin leakage, utilization inputs

Accounting & Tax Operations

- Ensure accounting documentation discipline (invoice/contract linkage, categorization, approvals, audit trail)

- Own internal workflow for month-end close readiness

- Coordinate tax operations with accounting partners (VAT/GST, payroll tax inputs, corporate tax documentation)

- Maintain statutory deadlines calendar and ensure timely input delivery

- Support audits and inspections with complete documentation packages

Legal Operations & Risk Control

- Implement contract workflow: intake → template → review → signature → storage

- Maintain contract repository, renewal tracker, and key obligations (DPAs, SLAs, termination terms)

- Coordinate with external counsel on non-standard terms, disputes, employment law matters

- Maintain a practical risk register (commercial, vendor, legal, data/security risks)

Information Security & Compliance Hygiene

- Ensure operational GDPR hygiene (vendor list, DPAs, documentation discipline)

- Oversee proper offboarding (access removal + data handling checks)

- Partner with delivery/tech to keep compliance lightweight and practical

What You Bring:

- 5–10+ years in Finance Operations / Controller / Finance Lead roles

- Experience in IT, software services, or project-based delivery environments

- Strong hands-on ownership of AR/AP, collections, invoicing, payment controls, budgeting, management reporting

- Proven ability to improve cash discipline (reduce AR days, stabilize payment cycles)

- Experience building and enforcing finance processes across leadership stakeholders

- Experience collaborating with external accounting and tax providers

- Practical contract operations experience (MSA/SOW/NDA templates, signature workflows, renewals tracking)

- English — C1

Nice to Have:

- Strong understanding of services economics (project margins, utilization, scope control)

- Familiarity with B2B contract structures (SLAs, IP clauses, liability limits, payment terms)

- Exposure to GDPR operational workflows

- Experience implementing or optimizing finance/legal ops tooling (e-signature, contract repositories, invoicing stacks, dashboards)
