SaaS Rationalization LLC is an early-stage software company building technology to help businesses better understand, manage, and optimize the software they use.

Our goal is to help organizations improve visibility across their software environment, reduce unnecessary or overlapping tools and subscriptions, control software costs, and make their internal technology workflows more efficient.

As we build the platform, we are also exploring automation, integrations, blockchain, and other technologies where they can provide practical value to the product.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Backend Software Developer who is comfortable working with Python and/or Rust and wants to grow alongside an early-stage engineering team.

This is primarily a backend development role. You will work on APIs, application services, databases, integrations, automation, and other backend functionality supporting our SaaS platform.

Some projects may also involve blockchain or Web3-related functionality. We do not expect candidates at this level to already be blockchain experts. We are interested in developers who have some exposure to blockchain, have worked on personal or professional Web3 projects, or are motivated to learn and collaborate on blockchain-related development as part of the team.

The role is a good fit for developers who already have solid programming fundamentals and want to gain broader experience across backend systems, SaaS applications, integrations, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain backend services using Python and/or Rust

2. Build and maintain REST APIs

3. Work with databases, data models, and backend processing

4. Build functionality supporting our SaaS management and optimization platform

5. Integrate third-party SaaS services and APIs

6. Work with authentication, authorization, and secure data handling

7. Contribute to automation and internal workflows

8. Help build reliable and maintainable backend services

9. Collaborate with other developers on technical design and implementation

10. Contribute to blockchain or Web3 integrations where needed

11. Work with blockchain APIs, transactions, wallets, or smart-contract integrations when relevant

12. Write unit and integration tests

13. Debug backend, API, integration, and infrastructure issues

14. Participate in code reviews and improve code quality over time

15. Learn new technologies as our platform and technical requirements evolve

Requirements

1. Good practical experience with Python and/or Rust

2. Understanding of backend software development fundamentals

3. Experience building or consuming REST APIs

4. Familiarity with databases and basic data modeling

5. Understanding of Git and modern development workflows

6. Basic knowledge of testing and debugging

7. Good problem-solving skills

8. Ability to communicate and collaborate with a remote team

9. Willingness to learn and take increasing ownership over time

We do not require candidates to already operate at a senior or technical-lead level.

We are looking for developers who have a solid foundation, can contribute to real development work, and are motivated to continue improving as the team and product grow.

Blockchain / Web3 Experience

Deep blockchain expertise is not required.

Relevant experience can include:

1. Basic understanding of blockchain transactions and wallets

2. Personal or open-source Web3 projects

3. Experience consuming blockchain APIs

4. Basic smart-contract knowledge

5. Familiarity with Ethereum, Bitcoin, or another blockchain ecosystem

6. Understanding of cryptography, signatures, or key management

7. Exposure to distributed systems

Developers who are still building their blockchain experience are welcome.

The important thing is having strong development fundamentals and being comfortable learning and collaborating with other team members when blockchain-related functionality is required.

Preferred Experience

Experience with some of the following is helpful but not mandatory:

1. Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django

2. Rust backend development

3. PostgreSQL or other relational databases

4. Redis

5. Docker

6. Cloud infrastructure

7. Async or event-driven applications

8. Third-party SaaS integrations

11. Ethereum or blockchain APIs

12. Solidity or smart contracts

Candidates are not expected to know everything on this list.
