SaaS Rationalization LLC is an early-stage software company building technology to help organizations better understand, manage, and optimize their software environments.
Our broader goal is to help businesses gain better visibility into the tools and services they use, reduce unnecessary software costs and complexity, identify overlapping or underused applications, and improve how software-related workflows are managed.
As we build our technical foundation, we are also exploring technologies such as automation, secure transaction workflows, verification systems, and blockchain integrations where they provide practical value to the product.
We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong Rust experience and practical blockchain knowledge to join our growing technical team.
This is primarily a backend engineering role. You will help design and build reliable services, APIs, integrations, data-processing workflows, and core application infrastructure supporting our software platform.
Some areas of the platform may involve blockchain-related functionality, including transaction processing, smart-contract integrations, verification, wallet interactions, or distributed systems. However, this is not a purely Web3 or smart-contract-focused position.
We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable building production backend systems and can also contribute when blockchain technology is appropriate for a particular business or technical problem.
The ideal candidate has solid backend engineering experience, is comfortable working in Rust, understands modern application architecture, and has enough blockchain experience to work confidently with blockchain-based services and integrations.
Design, develop, and maintain reliable backend services using Rust
Build scalable REST APIs and service integrations
Design backend components that support our SaaS management and optimization platform
Work with databases, application data, authentication, authorization, and secure data handling
Develop services for processing business events, workflows, and asynchronous tasks
Integrate third-party APIs and external software services
Build reliable integrations between internal systems and external platforms
Contribute to blockchain-related functionality where appropriate
Work with blockchain transactions, APIs, wallets, smart contracts, or verification workflows when required
Implement secure transaction and data-processing logic
Help design maintainable and scalable backend architecture
Investigate and resolve application, performance, integration, and infrastructure issues
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Improve observability, reliability, security, and maintainability
Collaborate with other developers when defining technical solutions
Take ownership of backend features from design through implementation and production
Strong professional experience with Rust
Solid experience building backend applications and services
Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs
Good understanding of databases and application data modeling
Experience with authentication, authorization, and secure backend development
Understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven systems, or distributed architectures
Experience integrating external APIs and services
Good understanding of software architecture and system design
Familiarity with testing, debugging, Git, and modern development workflows
Ability to investigate and resolve complex backend or infrastructure issues
Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks
Clear communication and effective collaboration in a remote environment
Candidates should have practical familiarity with blockchain development, but deep specialization in every Web3 technology is not required.
Useful experience includes:
Blockchain transactions and transaction lifecycle
Wallet integrations
Blockchain APIs or JSON-RPC
Smart-contract integrations
Digital signatures, hashing, and key management
Transaction validation
Blockchain nodes or infrastructure
Ethereum-compatible systems or other blockchain networks
Secure transaction workflows
Distributed systems
We are interested in candidates who understand how blockchain systems work and can integrate them into backend applications when there is a genuine technical or business reason to do so.
Experience in any of the following is beneficial:
Python, TypeScript, or another backend language in addition to Rust
PostgreSQL or other relational databases
Redis, queues, or event-driven processing
Docker and containerized applications
Cloud infrastructure
Microservices or distributed systems
SaaS products or B2B software
Third-party SaaS integrations
Workflow automation
Security-sensitive applications
Financial or transaction-processing software
Smart contracts or Solidity
Ethereum or other blockchain ecosystems
Monitoring, logging, and observability
CI/CD and automated deployment workflows
Strong backend engineering fundamentals
Clean and maintainable code
Practical problem-solving rather than unnecessary complexity
Security-conscious engineering
Ownership and reliability
Ability to understand the business problem before choosing the technology
Good technical judgment
Thoughtful architecture decisions
Clear communication
Ability to work effectively in an early-stage environment
Willingness to work across different parts of the backend when needed
We do not expect every problem to require blockchain. We value engineers who can determine when conventional backend architecture is the right solution and when blockchain or distributed technologies provide meaningful benefits.
