VP of Sales
The VP of Sales defines and executes the company’s overall sales strategy, identifies target markets and buyer personas, builds and converts pipeline, and leads complex enterprise sales cycles with large organizations and strategic partners. This role reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the executive leadership team. The position includes a competitive base salary, performance-based incentives, and equity participation.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in enterprise B2B SaaS or AI sales
Proven track record of leading quota-carrying enterprise sales teams (>$1M quota per AE)
Demonstrated success managing long, complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, high-growth environment
Proficiency with modern CRM systems and sales technologies
Strong prioritization and execution skills across multiple concurrent objectives
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred but not required
Responsibilities
Revenue and Go-to-Market Leadership
Develop and execute the U.S. sales strategy
Partner with the leadership team to define target customer segments, priority verticals, pricing inputs, and sales motions
Align go-to-market execution with cross-functional teams to enable fast, scalable growth
Partner closely with marketing on positioning, messaging, and demand generation
Drive acquisition of new strategic customers with a focus on long-term, high-quality revenue
Sales Leadership and Execution
Lead and scale the sales function, including account executives and supporting resources
Establish sales goals, quotas, pipeline targets, and performance metrics
Personally lead complex, high-value enterprise deals and executive-level negotiations
Implement a disciplined, repeatable sales process from prospecting through close
Coach and develop the team while setting a high bar for ownership, urgency, and accountability
Industry Engagement and Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise customers and technology partners
Navigate complex buying environments with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders
Represent the company at industry events and executive-level customer meetings
Governance, Risk, and Market Awareness
Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory and contractual considerations in target markets
Collaborate with legal and compliance functions to ensure accurate and responsible customer commitments
Incorporate risk and governance considerations into deal structuring and commercial terms
Data, Forecasting, and Performance Management
Own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue reporting
Analyze sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Provide accurate forecasts and regular performance updates to executive leadership
Continuously improve conversion rates, sales cycle efficiency, and overall pipeline quality
Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with product, operations, and customer success to ensure scalable and successful deployments
Feed market and customer insights back into product roadmap and pricing strategy
Align with post-sales and account management teams to support retention and expansion
