Technical Product Manager — Payments

We're building a well-being B2C mobile app (a mix of an AI therapist and Brain Fitness). Fully vibe-coded — we don't have developers in the usual sense, but it's a real product with live users and growing revenue. We run a complex payment architecture: multiple payment gateways, orchestration, billing. It needs constant work: improving acceptance, controlling fraud, cutting fees, adding local payment methods, running checkout experiments.

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager — Payments to own this area end to end. What matters most is a sharp mind, strong analytics, and a willingness to dig into the operational work. If you're deep in payments — great; if not, but you pick up new domains fast and want to own payments fully — reach out too.

What you'll do:

• Improve AR / payment acceptance
• Tune orchestration (Primer and similar) for better acceptance and lower cost
• Roll out local payment methods across countries
• Handle disputes and chargebacks
• Run A/B tests on checkout and track how they affect acceptance and Fraud Rate
• Analyze all of it — AR by bank/BIN/method, dispute rate, costs (SQL + Metabase)
• Negotiate contracts with payment providers, control and optimize fees

What matters:

• Strong analytical skills — you break problems down into numbers and compute them yourself
• Experience with growth experiments and A/B tests — you form hypotheses, measure impact, and draw conclusions
• SQL and BI (or the drive to pick them up fast) — so you can measure things yourself instead of waiting on an analyst
• Willingness to do operational work and see it through — we're a small team, no long approval chains
• Attention to detail and curiosity — you like understanding how things work under the hood
• Technical mindset — you're comfortable with APIs, dashboards, integrations
• AI-native mindset. Working alongside Claude Code / Codex is a must-have
• Genuine interest in payments and the ambition to become an expert in them

Nice to have (not required):

• Hands-on operational experience with payments
• Understanding of card payment acceptance and what drives it
• Experience with an orchestrator or several PSPs at once
• Experience negotiating fees and contracts with payment providers
