Technical Artist (Unity)
Nekki is a game development studio with over 20 years of experience. We create games for mobile, PC, and consoles, focusing on product quality and player experience.
The Shadow Fight series and Vector have been downloaded over 1 billion times, and we continue to grow and support these franchises. At the same time, we’re building new titles: SPINE and Fight Me.We are currently looking for a Technical Artist to the bring the visuals of our flagship projects – Shadow Fight 3 and Shadow Fight 4: Arena to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Edit existing shaders
Write new shaders (code, Shader Graph) and custom nodes
Troubleshoot graphics issues during development
Work with physics systems (Cloth, Rigidbody)
Work both in accordance with the process and bring your own ideas within the defined creative direction
Set up and maintain lighting in line with the project's art direction
Develop and maintain a graphics quality preset system for cross-device scalability
Be in the know about new tools, plugins, and rendering techniques in the industry, evaluate their applicability to the project
What we are looking for:
At least 2 years of experience as a Technical Artist within a 3D gamedev projects
Experience writing custom shaders
Understanding of game content development pipelines and the needs of the art team
Solid understanding of Unity and render pipelines
Will be a plus:
Extensive gaming background
Strong visual awareness of stylized graphics
Confident working in the Unity engine — asset integration, lighting setup, understanding of shader and other system principles
Ability to create tools to streamline game content production
