System Analyst

We are looking for an experienced System Analyst to join a product development team working on a new technology-driven product with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and long-term growth.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with solid technical knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate business needs into well-defined system requirements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of a modern IT product, working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure effective and scalable technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business and system requirements, identify technical dependencies, constraints, and potential implementation challenges.

• Translate business needs into detailed system requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.

• Define and document system behavior, business rules, data processing logic, and interactions between application components.

• Design and describe system workflows, integration scenarios, and data exchange processes.

• Develop system diagrams and models using UML, BPMN, Sequence Diagrams, and other relevant modeling techniques.

• Specify API requirements, integration contracts, request/response structures, and error-handling scenarios.

• Analyze user interactions, alternative system flows, exceptions, and edge cases to ensure comprehensive requirements coverage.

• Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to clarify system behavior, integration logic, and technical requirements.

• Support the development and QA teams throughout the implementation process, ensuring consistency between documented requirements and delivered functionality.

• Maintain and update system specifications and technical documentation as the product evolves.

Requirements

Professional experience:

• At least 2 years of commercial experience as a System Analyst, Business System Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst.

• Hands-on experience analyzing and documenting system requirements for web-based applications or IT products.

• Proven ability to independently prepare detailed functional and technical specifications.

• Experience describing system workflows, integration scenarios, and interactions between software components.

• Practical experience collaborating with development, QA, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Technical skills:

• Strong understanding of client-server architecture, web application architecture, and frontend/backend interactions.

• Practical knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and common data exchange formats such as JSON and XML.

• Experience documenting API integrations, data flows, and interactions between internal and external systems.

• Proficiency in UML and BPMN, including Sequence Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and other relevant modeling techniques.

• Understanding of relational and non-relational databases (SQL / NoSQL), data structures, and basic database operations.

• Familiarity with system integration patterns, error handling, and data validation principles.

• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern software development practices.

• Ability to identify technical dependencies, analyze system limitations, and assess the impact of proposed changes.

Soft skills:

• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing requirements, and potential risks.

• Ability to work independently, investigate complex scenarios, and propose practical solutions.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different stakeholders.

• Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and a proactive approach to requirements clarification.

Nice to have

• Experience working with API documentation tools such as Swagger / OpenAPI and Postman.

• Experience preparing Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), Use Cases, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.

• Knowledge of additional process and system modeling methodologies, including EPC and IDEF.

• Experience analyzing integrations with third-party services or external platforms.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and asynchronous communication between services.

• Experience in technical writing and maintaining structured system documentation.

• Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and experience working with Figma or similar prototyping tools.
