About the Team:

• We are a US-based SAAS firm targeting the accounting industry. We use technology to solve business problems for accounting firms - we are not accountants. For you, this means you will be communicating with accountants about their business processes and helping them see the value in our software which can help them grow their business and revenue. You are not expected to be an accountant, know how to do accounting, or even be good at math

• Our team consists of almost 400 people (in over 40 countries!) - we are a distributed team built on the principle of self-management

• Access to management - you will be working closely with the C-level management in a collaborative work environment

Who we’re looking for:

We’re hiring a Staff Frontend Engineer for the Technical Cluster - a core part of the R&D, builds and maintains shared frontend architecture and infrastructure used across all product clusters.

Lead the modernization of the frontend platform: defining architecture, improving build and delivery processes, raising quality standards, and ensuring scalability of the UI layer across a large and fast-growing product.

Focus on building and maintaining the platform foundation that enables product clusters to move faster. Define architectural direction and ensure alignment across clusters.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own frontend architecture and technical strategy across the Technical Cluster

• Act as a Technical Product Manager for the Frontend Track

• Design and implement core system components independently

• Lead platform initiatives improving performance, testing, and design system integration

• Define and maintain shared interfaces across clusters

• Enhance developer experience by evolving tooling and workflows

• Review architecture and critical code changes across clusters

Technology stack:

Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite, Zustand, TanStack Query, custom UI Kit

Backend: Ruby on Rails monolith under modularization, Python, PostgreSQL, REST API

Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS

Testing & Quality: Vitest, Playwright, RSpec

CI/CD: GitLab, trunk-based development

What we expect from you:

• 10+ years of experience in frontend development

• Experience designing large-scale frontend architectures

• Deep understanding of modern frontend tooling and performance optimization

• Ability to communicate effectively across teams and influence decisions

• Experience driving cross-team technical initiatives

• Strong communication and influencing skills at all levels of engineering

• Strong product mindset and focus on long-term maintainability
