Software Engineer or Data Analyst

Remote, but Lisbon-based is a plus

Hi! I’m Dmitry Golomidov, a partner at Mento VC.

We’re looking for a talented engineer or data analyst to join our team and help us build the most powerful startup search engine in venture. You’ll be working closely with me and the core team — at the very center of how we discover and evaluate breakout founders.

What you’ll do

• Build clean, interactive UI prototypes and internal tools using Streamlit

• Own and optimize multi-flow data parsing pipelines

• Write well-structured code in Python and Go, balancing speed and maintainability

• Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver real-time insights and visualizations

• Analyze, debug, and fine-tune large datasets for structured outcomes

• Rapidly iterate and ship — vibe-driven coding encouraged

• Full freedom and zero corporate legacy

What we’re looking for

• You write clean, scalable Python (Go is a plus) — fast to ship, easy to maintain

• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and love to structure chaos

• You know how to turn fuzzy requests into real tools

• You ship fast, write clean code, and aren’t afraid to refactor

• You think in data — and know your way around APIs, scrapers, and databases

• You’re excited about venture, startups, and emerging tech
