Shopify Full-Stack Developer (Front-end with AI Focus)

The role is a remote position, with a 40-hour work week, flexible working hours, frequent EU overlap, and infrequent US overlap

We are looking for a Senior Shopify Full-Stack Developer to take technical ownership of our Shopify Plus storefront and help us build and lead the next generation of AI-powered workflows across our E-commerce and Product teams.

The ideal candidate can take a problem from design or product requirement through technical solution, implementation, testing and production, while also being comfortable working with APIs, backend services, data and AI tools when the solution extends beyond the Shopify theme.

Responsibilities:

• Own and develop our Shopify Plus storefront using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Build scalable, reusable Shopify theme components and custom storefront functionality from Figma designs and product requirements.

• Work with Shopify APIs, metafields, metaobjects, Shopify Functions and third-party app integrations.

• Own implementation of new functionality from development through QA and production release.

• Continuously improve storefront performance, SEO, accessibility and code quality.

• Work closely with the Tech Lead and Product Managers to turn business and customer needs into practical technical solutions.

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve our technology, development processes and use of AI.

Requirements:

• Expert-level Shopify Plus development with Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Strong frontend engineering skills with experience building scalable, responsive and high-performance storefronts from Figma (translating Figma designs into production-quality interfaces).

• Experience with Shopify APIs, REST/GraphQL, webhooks, and APIs third-party integrations.

• Solid full-stack fundamentals, including experience with backend development, databases and server-side technologies.

• Hands-on experience with AI development tools, agents and automation, with the ability to build and lead AI-powered workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot or similar).

• Strong understanding of SEO, accessibility, performance, testing and modern development practices.

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with technical and non-technical teams.

• Strong communication, collaboration and task ownership skills.
