Small Metrics is an advanced cross-platform financial health tracker (iOS, Android, and Web) built with Flutter and a Django-based Python backend. The app features isolated financial environments ("Spaces"), multi-currency support, and AI-driven analytics. Our ecosystem is rapidly expanding: alongside the core app, we develop internal agentic tools for automated SEO management, data synchronization pipelines, and fast, modern landing pages powered by Astro.

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to ensure the highest quality and stability of our product across all platforms, balancing manual testing with the proactive introduction of test automation.

Responsibilities:

• Hybrid QA Approach (50/50): Balance your time equally between thorough manual testing and building robust automated test coverage.
• Manual Testing: Perform comprehensive manual testing of our Flutter mobile (iOS, Android), Flutter Web admin panels, and Astro-based landing pages.
• API Validation: Test RESTful APIs to ensure correct data processing, background agent synchronization, and seamless frontend-backend communication.
• QA Ownership: Create, maintain, and execute test cases, checklists, and test plans from scratch.
• Test Automation: Design, introduce, and configure automated testing frameworks for critical user flows (Flutter Integration Tests / Appium) and backend endpoints (PyTest).
• Bug Tracking: Identify, meticulously document, and track bugs using our issue tracking system.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and the product manager to catch edge cases early and improve the overall user experience.

Stack:

• Manual Testing: Mobile & Web testing (Flutter apps, Astro websites).
• API Testing: Postman / Swagger / cURL.
• Backend Automation: Python / PyTest.
• Frontend/Mobile Automation: Experience with Flutter integration tests, Appium, or Selenium/Playwright is highly preferred.
• Infrastructure: Git, Docker (ability to spin up local environments for testing), and CI/CD pipelines.
