About this role

We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who operates as an owner, not an executor. At TaxDome, we're undergoing a fundamental shift: small, autonomous, AI-powered product micro teams are replacing traditional large agile teams. Design is no exception. This role isn't about filling a seat in a hand-off chain — it's about owning outcomes across the full design surface, end-to-end, at high velocity.

You'll work in a "3 amigos" trench structure alongside a Product Engineer and QA, moving from idea to shipped value in days, not months. 

What you’ll be responsible for

• Own the full UX for your domain — from scoping the right solution and defining user flows to shipping production-ready design with AI

• Validate approaches through AI prototyping, usability testing, and real usage data — not lengthy review cycles.

• Partner directly with Product Engineers (not just PMs) to co-define solutions, negotiate scope, align on technical constraints, and ship features fast within a single domain.

• Manage design scope actively — push back on feature creep, propose smart cuts, and ensure what ships are both valuable and feasible within the timeline.

• Ground every choice in evidence: analytics, session recordings, user interviews, or UX testing

• Use AI tools actively for research, rapid ideation, prototyping, and workflow acceleration.

• Contribute to and evolve the design system as a living, shared foundation — not a committee deliverable.

What you bring

Must-have

• 7+ years in Product Design, with a portfolio demonstrating UX ownership, not just craft delivery

• Demonstrable experience working in fast-moving, autonomous, or startup-like environments

• Active, fluent use of AI tools in your design workflow (Cursor, Claude or equivalent — describe how, not just what)

• Strong product and systems thinking: you ask "why are we building this?" before "what should it look like?"

• Comfort with ambiguity: you can operate on a half-defined problem without waiting for a fully scoped brief

• English: B2+

Nice-to-have

• Experience in fintech, accounting, legal, or CRM products

• Familiarity with Atomic Design and scalable design system contribution

• Understanding of product metrics: activation, retention, churn, MAU

• Exposure to agentic tooling or AI-assisted prototyping workflows

The main shifts made:

• We need someone who drives the UX end-to-end, not someone who waits for a brief and delivers mockups.

• We don't just talk about AI — we expect you to use it for research, prototyping, and moving faster. If you haven't tried it yet, this probably isn't the right fit.

• Small team, big impact. You'll work in a team of three (Designer + Engineer + QA) and ship in days, not months. 

• You help decide what to build and what to cut. Scope management is part of your job — not just designing what's handed to you.
