Senior Product Designer

We are Rockup - a startup building a new kind of social networking and messaging mobile app focused on real-time geolocation. Think Telegram built for chatting with your neighbors, classmates, or just anyone close by – a tool for connecting with the people around you when you need it the most.

Backed by a profitable sister company, we have the energy and agility of a startup coupled with resources of a mature organization. As we are getting closer to launch, we are expanding our product team, and are looking for a skilled Senior Mobile Product Designer to own the entire user experience end-to-end in our mobile app.

What you’ll do

• Own the end-to-end UX/UI design process from initial research to final implementation

• Balance aesthetics with mobile-specific usability across both iOS and Android

• Create and maintain a consistent and cohesive design system across the mobile app

• Work closely with the Product Manager and the development team to align design goals with business and technical requirements

• Conduct user research and usability studies, and adopt gathered insights into product enhancements

Who we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience working as part of cross-functional teams in product-led organizations, with a focus on mobile apps

• Fluency in Figma, with expertise in mobile-first design principles and best practices for iOS and Android platforms

• Solid knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment of an early-stage startup

• A portfolio showcasing specific work samples, case studies, and results is required

• Experience with social networking, messaging, or geolocation-based mobile apps is preferred

• Ability to work collaboratively with developers and understand basic frontend development concepts (React Native, Flutter, KMP, etc.) is a plus

• Upper intermediate level of English or greater, knowledge of Russian will be an advantage
