Senior Manual QA Engineer, Pensions team

We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our high-velocity Pensions team. This team is responsible for integrations with government systems and external partners. You’ll work with strict protocols, regulations, and third-party providers to make sure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, product managers, marketers, and external partners, often in English. In this role, you’ll take real ownership of building high-quality, resilient features — perfect for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

What You’ll Do

• Manually test frontend and backend features

• Collaborate with developers and marketers to clarify requirements

• Proactively identify gaps, propose improvements, and help evolve QA processes

• Perform basic API testing using Postman

• Write and run simple SQL queries to validate data

• Use proxy tools for deeper request/response validation

• Support regression testing in mobile apps when needed

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of manual QA experience, focused on web applications

• Solid knowledge of test design techniques

• Hands-on experience testing APIs and working with Postman

• Technical literacy: HTML/CSS, client-server architecture, and basic debugging

• Ability to write SQL queries to validate backend logic

• Confident using proxy tools like Charles or Fiddler

• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills — not just following test scripts

• Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working without micromanagement

• Clear communicator who collaborates well with tech and non-tech teams

Nice to Have

• Experience testing mobile apps (Android/iOS)

• Interest in building or improving QA workflows and processes

• Familiarity with automation tools or AI-assisted testing (not required, but a plus)

• Previous experience in product-first companies or marketing-driven environments

How We Work

We’re a lean, fast-moving team that values clarity, ownership, and continuous improvement. You’ll be more than just a ticket-tester — you’ll help shape how we build, ship, and maintain quality across the product.

We expect initiative, not just execution. At the same time, you’ll have support from experienced QA leads and an open, collaborative culture that encourages experimentation and learning.

What We Offer

• Impact from day one
You’ll help ship critical features used by tens of thousands of customers.

• Room to grow
You’ll have the chance to expand your scope — from owning areas of testing to helping shape team-wide QA practices.

• Modern tools
You’ll work with Postman, SQL, and more. And if something’s missing — help us find and adopt it.

• Transparent and open culture
We believe in async-first communication, clear ownership, and team visibility.

• Supportive team
You’ll collaborate with thoughtful, motivated people across engineering, product, and marketing.

• Remote and flexible
We care about outcomes, not location. Work from where you’re most productive.
