We’re looking for a Senior Level Designer to independently create and implement engaging, visually coherent locations for mobile idle games. You will take locations from initial concept and layout through implementation in Unity, combining gameplay, player experience, spatial design, visual composition, and clear navigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop location concepts and prepare design specifications;
• Plan the spatial structure of locations, including road and path layouts;
• Define each location’s visual concept, taking into account its setting, era, and environment;
• Design the player journey and in-location experience, including UX, visual guidance, landmarks, and overall readability;
• Create location layouts and implement them independently in Unity;
• Conduct playtests and iterate on locations based on findings.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Level Designer on mobile idle games; experience in tycoon, builder, city-building, or related games is also relevant if you have strong experience creating environments/locations and working with navigation, physics, and spatial readability;
• Strong spatial thinking and understanding of composition;
• Ability to independently develop a location concept from scratch;
• Ability to design a location layout before production begins;
• Understanding of UX within game environments;
• Strong visual taste and understanding of Environment Design principles;
• Ability to work with references and build coherent visual logic for environments;
• Confident working knowledge of Unity Editor, including scenes, prefabs, and game objects;
• Understanding of visual readability and camera work;
• Experience establishing Level Design standards and improving production processes;
• High degree of ownership, independence, and strong communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of level analytics and the ability to use data to draw conclusions about level performance;
• Experience designing onboarding and puzzle levels;
• Experience creating internal Level Design standards and documentation;
• Experience working on puzzle games.
