Senior/Lead Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the core product development team of SegmentStream and own the data & ETL architecture of our next-generation marketing analytics platform. Responsibilities:

• Own & lead data-related projects: ETL processes, data cleaning & stitching algorithms, data infrastructure optimisation & scalability.
• Constantly innovate on our overall data architecture, and find ways to improve its performance while keeping in mind infrastructure costs.
• Proactively find possible flaws in current data architecture and prepare elegant technical solutions to mitigate these risks in the future.
• Working closely with our Engineering and Product team to prioritize and define a product roadmap and engineering backlog.

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics or similar;
• 3+ years of relevant experience (Data Transformations, ETL/ELT, Data Modeling in the cloud);
• Strong SQL knowledge (you would rate your SQL skills >8/10);
• Experience working with DBT / Dataform or similar tools;
• Great communication skills and a positive personality to work in a team;
• Ability to speak and write in English with confidence (B2 or higher);
• Experience with Machine Learning (Google BigQuery ML is a bonus);
• Knowledge of Digital Marketing and Web Analytics domain area will be a bonus;
