Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join one of the most ambitious fintech transformation programs currently in progress. This is a large-scale Middle Office Transformation initiative for a global asset management fund. The project focuses on rebuilding critical platforms responsible for transactions, positions, P&L, financing flows, and investment performance analytics. You will work on complex distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, real-time data processing, and modernization of large-scale legacy platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop distributed cloud-native backend systems

• Participate in large-scale monolith-to-microservices transformation

• Build high-performance services for transactions, positions, and P&L processing

• Work with Kafka and event-driven architectures

• Collaborate with architects, business teams, and senior engineers on complex fintech workflows

• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making

• Analyze and reverse-engineer existing business logic and systems

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or related field

• 8+ years of commercial Java development experience

• Strong Java Core and multithreading knowledge

• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture

• Hands-on experience with Kafka or other messaging systems

• Strong SQL and database knowledge

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred)

• Ability to work independently and navigate complex problem spaces

• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech, banking, investment platforms, trading, positions, P&L, or transaction processing

• Experience with Python

• Experience working with large legacy modernization programs
