Become part of a rapidly scaling cybersecurity company that builds premium privacy and security products for a worldwide audience. We work as a fully distributed, remote-first team united by a single goal: safeguarding people's digital lives and keeping millions of users anonymous online.
Our product is a high-load VPN service, and you'll be working on the browser-based side of it — a security-focused extension and the web interfaces around it that let users connect, manage their protection, and stay private with a single click.
You'll build on a product that serves a massive global user base, where performance, reliability, and privacy are not features but requirements. We're looking for someone who is genuinely proactive and responsible — a person who takes a task from a rough idea to a shipped, well-maintained result, spots problems early, and follows through without needing to be chased.
Requirements
- Develop a cross-browser VPN extension on Manifest V3 and keeping MV2 support where it's still needed — service workers, content scripts, popup and options UI.
- Build the Vue/Nuxt interfaces behind the extension and the surrounding web surfaces: connection flows, server selection, account and subscription screens.
- Wire the frontend to our VPN backend and third-party security services through REST APIs.
- Implement client-side caching, secure token and credential storage, and data flows that respect user privacy by design.
- Cover the codebase with unit and E2E tests and help keep overall code quality high.
- Stay accountable for the features you work on — from first commit to what users see in production.
Responsibilities
- 4+ years of frontend development with real production experience.
- Deep knowledge of TypeScript.
- Strong expertise with Vue and Nuxt.
- Practical browser extension experience across both Manifest V2 and V3 — background/service workers, content scripts, popup/options UI, and cross-context messaging.
- Genuine grasp of web security fundamentals: CSP, CORS, XSS, secure storage, and privacy-first data handling.
- Comfort with client-side caching and predictable state management.
- Fluency with Git, CI/CD, and a modern build stack (Vite).
- A habit of testing your work — unit and E2E (Vitest / Playwright).
- An AI-agent-driven workflow: you actively build and rely on AI agents as part of how you deliver.
- Proactive and responsible by nature — reliable, well-organized, and able to drive your own tasks forward inside a large, high-load product.
Nice to have
- Shipping extensions across multiple browsers (Firefox, Edge).
- A background in VPN, networking, security, anti-phishing, or privacy products.
- Familiarity with threat-intelligence feeds or DNS-level filtering.
- Node.js experience and a general understanding of how server-side applications are structured.
