We are proud to be named as one of the Top 10 Software Development Companies in Q2 2026 by 50Pros|Discover top agencies.

Our thorough approach to every project and deep understanding of Client's needs allow us to manage the outstanding quality.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer to join growing Virtual NOC practice — a distributed, SLA-driven managed DevOps service supporting international clients across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.

This is not a classic internal platform role. It is a highly operational, client-facing engineering position where reliability, incident response, automation, and observability are part of everyday work. You will help operate production environments for multiple clients, contribute to runbook automation, improve operational processes, and work closely with a global follow-the-sun team.

We are a distributed team - you can work from any place in the world, except RF and RB, ensuring silence, good internet connection, availability and proper environment.

What you will do

  • Own production incident response for client environments, handling Sev1–Sev4 issues in a structured and calm manner.

  • Participate in on-call rotation and resolve incidents within defined SLA timelines.

  • Work with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and modern observability tooling to support and improve client infrastructure.

  • Develop automation in Python and Bash to reduce manual operational work.

  • Improve CI/CD and GitOps workflows using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Helm.

  • Write and maintain runbooks, support post-mortems, and contribute to the knowledge base.

  • Communicate directly with clients in English, providing clear technical updates and resolution plans.

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams in a follow-the-sun operating model.

  • Lead/manage the DevOps team, including coordination, prioritization, and technical direction - roughly 25% of all tasks.

What we are building

Virtual NOC is a managed DevOps services practice designed to provide 24/7 operational coverage for international customers. The CEMEA hub is a key part of this model, covering business hours across Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia, while working in close partnership with the AMER hub to ensure continuous support.

We currently manage infrastructure for an anchor client with multiple downstream customers and are scaling the practice through 2026. The role offers real ownership, technical variety, and the opportunity to shape how modern managed DevOps services are delivered.

What we expect

Must-have

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS.

  • Production on-call experience and comfort with incident response.

  • Proven experience in leading or managing a DevOps team, including coordination, prioritization, and technical guidance.

  • Observability experience with Datadog and/or Prometheus/Grafana.

  • Solid Python and Bash scripting skills.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.

  • Strong English communication skills for direct client interaction.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in managed services, MSP, or multi-tenant environments.

  • Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, Okta SSO, Rundeck, or Ansible AWX.

  • Experience using AI or LLM-based tools to improve DevOps workflows, such as incident triage, runbook generation, or post-mortem automation.

  • Experience working with runbook-as-code and CI validation practices.

On-call and working model

This role includes a structured on-call rotation, approximately once every 1.5 to 2 weeks, with separate compensation for standby and incident handling. On-call is done through a dedicated application-based workflow, with a standard response window for incident handling.

There are no night shifts. Working hours are aligned with local business time, and the role is remote-first within the CEMEA region. Depending on location, engagement may be through direct employment or EOR.

Why this role is different

This is a senior engineering role with real autonomy. You will not just process tickets — you will help build a reliable operational platform, improve how the team works, and play a key role in scaling a modern managed DevOps practice. Alongside operational responsibilities, around 30–40% of your time is reserved for engineering work such as automation, observability improvements, and AI-augmented tooling.
