Cubic Games is a game development studio and part of the GDEV holding. We have grown from a small team into a leading game development studio with over 140 professionals. Our mission is to create unique pixel-style games, including the popular Pixel Gun 3D, which attracts over 3 million monthly players. We're looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer who can build reliable infrastructure for real shooter load, automate its scaling, and keep production stable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and evolve the Kubernetes platform: reliability, scalability, upgrades.
  • Build and support platform infrastructure: migration to multi-account AWS Organizations, automation via Terraform + Terragrunt, GitOps-driven approach.
  • Manage cloud environments across the full release lifecycle (dev/stage/prod): set up reusable template environments, drive automation and self-service.
  • Own infrastructure observability: metrics and log collection, storage, analysis, and alerting.
  • Consult and guide developers on infrastructure topics and best practices; review their Terraform code.
  • Evaluate, introduce, and maintain infrastructure tooling, including AI tools for engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Gamedev experience — preferred; priority: shooters / real-time projects, midcore.
  • Kubernetes — deep understanding of core components, hands-on experience operating and maintaining clusters — not just working inside a ready-made one.
  • Helm — ability to develop custom charts and work with existing ones.
  • Terraform + Terragrunt — required; experience organising IaC at scale across multiple modules and accounts, solid understanding of multi-account setups.
  • GitOps: ArgoCD or Flux — practical experience, strong understanding of GitOps-driven delivery principles.
  • Linux — advanced administration: troubleshooting, networking, services, permissions, performance.
  • CI/CD — experience designing and maintaining pipelines; GitLab CI is a strong plus.
  • Monitoring & Logging — hands-on with Prometheus/Victoria Metrics and Grafana; familiarity with Loki/Victoria Logs is a plus.
  • Scripting (Python/Go/Bash) — comfortable writing scripts and tools to automate operational tasks.
  • AWS — solid cloud experience; AWS Organizations and multi-account setup is a plus; AWS China experience is a bonus.

What we offer:

  • Official employment according to the Labor Code of Armenia or Cyprus, or a remote work contract.
  • Flexibility in choosing the workplace: remote work or visiting offices in Armenia or Cyprus as desired.
  • Relocation package and assistance with obtaining residence permits in Armenia, including for family members.
  • 21 working days of vacation, 3 additional days off per year, and sick leave compensation up to 100%.
  • Comprehensive Health Insurance from the first working day in Armenia or Cyprus.
  • Professional Development Support: course, conferences, and opportunities to participate in department workshops and masterclasses.
  • Corporate online and offline events and presents for various holidays.
