Learna is our AI-powered language learning app — one of the top players in its category globally and a genuine challenger to the biggest names in the space. You'll be joining a product with real momentum inside a studio behind multiple top-charting apps.
Position
At Codeway, creative is the single biggest lever on growth. The majority of our marketing budget goes to user acquisition, and the quality of our ad creative decides what an install costs and how far we can scale and in a category as competitive as language learning, the creative that wins the first three seconds is what wins the market.
The Senior Creative Marketing Manager owns that lever for Learna. This is not a decoration-around-the-campaign role and it's not pure execution , it's the person who sets the creative strategy for the product, turns market and performance signal into concepts that win, and builds the process that lets a creative team ship winners consistently and at scale. You'll sit at the intersection of creativity, performance marketing, and AI, working shoulder-to-shoulder with growth managers and the marketing art team.
You'll bring a point of view, come to the table with ideas already thought through, and let the data decide — including when it kills your favorite concept.
What You'll Do
Own the creative strategy. Shape and drive the creative strategy for your product, and take real accountability for how it moves ROI, CPI, and spend efficiency.
Read the market. Monitor the advertising market and competitors closely, spotting what's working, the recurring patterns behind it, and the trends worth acting on this week — not next quarter.
Turn signal into ideas. Generate ad creative concepts and bring them to brainstorms already thought through, grounded in performance data and competitor intelligence rather than gut feeling alone.
Own the testing framework. Architect and ruthlessly execute Learna's creative testing methodology — matrix testing, element isolation — moving hypotheses to data-backed conclusions and knowing exactly why a creative won or lost, down to the second. Decode winners (hook, retention, setup) and share the takeaways so the whole team gets sharper.
Build the system. Design and improve the creative production pipeline so the team ships high-quality, high-volume output faster and without chaos — integrating AI tools and automating the repetitive parts.
Push AI boundaries. Lead the charge from traditional asset creation to an AI-first production mentality, actively experimenting with the latest generative tech (Nano Banana, Veo3, Sora, Kling, and more, with unlimited credits) to keep Learna at the cutting edge.
Collaborate and own. Partner tightly with growth and the marketing art team, take proactive ownership of your work from brief to delivery, and thrive in fast feedback loops.
What You'll Bring
Proven track record (4–5+ years). At least 4–5 years in performance creative marketing, user acquisition, or short-form content direction within high-volume, creative-heavy industries (mobile gaming, consumer apps, or fast-paced DTC/agencies).
A portfolio of winners. Not just a portfolio : a track record of scaling campaigns. You can point to concepts you conceived and directed that hit real scale and drove business growth, and speak to how they performed.
A results lens. You look at creatives through the lens of outcomes, not just aesthetics, with a solid command of the metrics that matter , hook/thumb-stop rate, CTR, CPI, ROAS.
Scientific creative testing. You know how to isolate variables — systematically testing hooks, visual styles, pacing, and CTAs with structured frameworks (e.g. matrix testing) to find statistical winners without burning budget.
AI production obsession. Genuinely obsessed with Gen-AI and workflow optimization. You've actively built tools like ComfyUI, Runway, Kling, or ElevenLabs into a daily production engine — cutting asset-generation time and multiplying variations — not just tried them.
Market intelligence. Command of market-monitoring and competitor-analysis tools (Meta & TikTok Ad Libraries, Sensor Tower, and similar), or the ability to pick them up fast.
Systems thinking. The instinct to turn messy creative workflows into clear, scalable systems, ideally with experience building pipelines or leading/mentoring creatives.
Self-direction. You move without waiting for constant guidance and are comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment with no ready-made instructions.
Craft foundation. Strong visual instinct — pacing, composition, and what makes a hook actually land — with a working command of tools like After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Figma.
Communication. Clear, collaborative, and open to constructive criticism.
Nice to Have
Experience leading a distributed or in-house creative team.
Background in marketing automation or creative operations at scale.
A portfolio of paid-social / UA creative you can speak to — bonus if you can speak to how it performed.
