Senior Content Marketing Manager

Why this role exists

Most B2B companies talk about their customers. The best ones let the ecosystem do the talking. This role turns the voice of our customers, partners, prospects, and practitioners into the stories, proof, and insights that power our go to market motion.

You'll be the guardian of our positioning (the way we talk about the Activation Gap, Surround Sound ABM, and the Activation OS) and the engine that keeps it alive with real, credible proof. If you've ever been frustrated watching great customer stories die in a Slack thread, this is the job where you fix that.

What you'll own

• The narrative: Own our positioning and messaging system. Ensure our story evolves with the market and remains consistent across every touchpoint.

• The proof: Build and scale our customer proof engine through case studies, customer interviews, peer references, and evidence that helps prospects buy.

• The ecosystem: Create and activate relationships with customers, partners, practitioners, and industry experts through webinars, reports, podcasts, and co marketing programs.

• The product narrative: Partner with product to turn launches and product updates into stories that customers understand and sales can use.

What success looks like

• First 90 days: You've absorbed and now own the narrative (we have a documented positioning system); you've audited the proof library and shipped your first two customer stories; you know our top 10 reference customers by name.

• By 6 months: A repeatable proof engine is running — a predictable cadence of case studies, customer voice content, and activations that sales and CS actively use and request.

• By 12 months: Userled has become one of the most credible voices in the ABM ecosystem, with a repeatable engine for generating customer proof and ecosystem driven content that consistently influences pipeline.

• Owned metric:

  • Growth in organic and branded demand.

  • Share of voice and brand authority within the ABM ecosystem.

  • Ecosystem engagement and participation from customers, partners, and practitioners.

  • Velocity and adoption of proof assets across the GTM team.

What this role is not

This is not a high volume content production role.

This role is focused on narrative, proof, and ecosystem activation. High volume content production, SEO execution, and content operations are supported through freelancers, agencies, and AI.

Your job is to uncover stories, shape narratives, and turn customer and ecosystem insights into assets and programs that move the market.

You'll love this role if:

• You think customer conversations are the best source of marketing ideas.

• You enjoy interviewing people more than staring at a blank document.

• You like connecting dots between customer stories, product strategy, and growth.

• You want to build a category narrative, not just publish content.

• You get energy from meeting customers, partners, and practitioners and turning those conversations into ideas that influence a company.

What we're looking for

• 5 to 8 years in product marketing, customer marketing, editorial, content strategy, or brand at a B2B SaaS company.

• A strong writer and editor who can hold a narrative and make complex positioning feel obvious.

• Someone genuinely energised by people — you build trust with customers, partners and experts, and they say yes to you.

• Comfortable owning a story end-to-end: strategy, interview, draft, ship, and measure.

You're naturally curious and love talking to practitioners. You ask great questions, spot patterns quickly, and turn conversations into narratives people remember.

Nice to have

• Experience with ABM, demand gen, or account-based motions.

• You've used AI tooling to produce content faster without losing quality – we expect this role to be AI-augmented from day one.

• Familiarity with the martech ecosystem (6sense, Demandbase, HubSpot, Salesforce).

Compensation & logistics

• Salary: £60,000–£80,000

• London, hybrid (3 days in office).

• Profitable company, so this is a stable seat with room to grow into a function lead as we scale.
