Risk Analyst

What we're looking for

Duelbits is looking to engage a Risk Analyst to support the performance, stability, and integrity of our sportsbook operation.

Working closely with our Trading and Risk teams, you'll monitor live betting activity, analyse market behaviour, identify emerging risks, and provide data-driven insights that contribute to smarter trading decisions and operational excellence.

As a Risk Analyst, you'll help turn live betting activity into real-time insights that drive smarter trading decisions and keep our sportsbook performing at its best.

What you'll be doing

Risk Monitoring & Market Observation

• Monitor live betting activity to identify unusual betting patterns, high-risk behaviour, market irregularities, or potential integrity concerns.

• Monitor market movements, exposure levels, and trading activity, highlighting emerging risks and operational issues.

• Escalate material risk indicators and provide timely observations to relevant stakeholders.

• Coordinate with the Company's Sportsbook Provider and internal teams to assist with pricing, operational, or market-related matters.
  

Market Analysis & Reporting

• Analyse sportsbook and esports market performance, including exposure trends, profitability, trading efficiency, and market behaviour.

• Prepare structured reports summarising analytical findings, identified risks, and operational observations.

• Maintain accurate records of market analysis, exposure reviews, and trading insights.

• Identify trends that support improved trading performance and risk management.

Operational Collaboration

• Work closely with Trading, Customer Support, and other internal teams to resolve operational and risk-related matters.

• Share observations and recommendations that contribute to trading accuracy, operational efficiency, and player experience.

• Participate in operational reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Risk Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to strengthen monitoring processes, analytical approaches, and operational workflows.

• Contribute to the ongoing refinement of risk monitoring methodologies and detection practices.

• Support continuous improvements through analysis of market behaviour, trading activity, and operational performance.

What you bring

Core Capability

• Experience in Sportsbook Trading, Risk Analysis, or a similar analytical role within the betting industry is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of sportsbook markets and trading principles, with knowledge of major sports; experience with US sports is a significant advantage.

• Strong analytical mindset with confident use of Excel and/or SQL.

• Ability to interpret live data and make informed decisions in a fast-moving environment.

• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively within shift-based operations, including major sporting events.

• Calm, organised, and able to perform under pressure.
  

Advantageous Experience

• Experience working within crypto, iGaming, sportsbook, or other high-volume digital environments.

• Exposure to risk monitoring platforms, trading systems, or sportsbook management tools.

• Experience analysing large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, or operational risks.

• Passion for sports, esports, trading, and data-driven decision-making.
