Research Analyst (Web3 & Pre-IPO)

EMCD is a global crypto ecosystem building infrastructure products across mining, wallets, crypto savings, payments and DeFi.

About the Role

We are looking for an Research Analyst to join our Analytics & Investments team.

You will source, evaluate, and support investment opportunities across Web3 startups, Pre-IPO deals and private markets. The role combines venture investing, market research, financial analysis and data-driven investment intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate Web3, Pre-IPO and private market opportunities

• Conduct due diligence, market research and investment analysis

• Build investment theses and prepare investment memos

• Analyze tokenomics, business models and market positioning

• Work with proprietary datasets and research tools to identify investment alpha

• Support portfolio monitoring, reporting and asset allocation decisions

• Track market trends, secondary market activity and regulatory developments

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in crypto investing, venture analysis or investment research

• Strong understanding of Web3 ecosystems and crypto market structure

• Experience evaluating early-stage startups and private market opportunities

• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

• Understanding of TVPI, IRR, DPI and venture portfolio metrics

• Experience conducting investment due diligence

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience in crypto VC funds, hedge funds or family offices

• Familiarity with on-chain analytics and quantitative research

• SQL, Python or ML research experience

• Experience with secondary markets and Pre-IPO allocations
