Python Developer (AI focus)

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who treats AI tools as part of their core engineering workflow, not an afterthought. You'll work on production systems while actively driving adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the team — from agentic coding tools to custom integrations that make AI genuinely useful in our stack.

REQUIREMENTS

• Solid software engineering fundamentals — comfortable with backend development (Python/FastAPI or similar), APIs, and working with a real production codebase

• Not necessarily 5+ years of experience — what matters more is depth of hands-on work, not years on paper

• Real, hands-on experience integrating or building with AI tools: coding agents, LLM APIs, MCP servers/connectors, or similar

• A track record of finding and using AI to remove friction from your own workflow, not just talking about it

• Comfortable proposing new tools/processes and pushing them through to actual adoption, not just experimenting quietly

• Good judgment about where AI is and isn't the right tool — we want proactive experimentation, not blind automation

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience writing custom MCP servers/connectors

• Experience setting up guardrails/conventions for AI-assisted development in a team setting

• Exposure to evaluating multiple AI platforms (e.g. Claude, Amazon Q, Cursor) for the same use case

• Familiarity with function calling / tool use patterns in LLM APIs

• Basic understanding of RAG approaches — when it's worth connecting external data sources to a model, and when it isn't
